''Electric Island, Acoustic Sea'' is a collaborative studio album by Grammy Award-winning musicians Tak Matsumoto (Japanese guitarist of B'z fame) and Daniel Ho (American multi-instrumentalist). The album debuted at #7 on the Oricon weekly album chart and at #6 on the ''Billboard Japan'' album chart. Tak Matsumoto
is a Japanese musician, songwriter and record producer. He is best known as the guitarist and main composer of the rock duo B'z, the best-selling music act in their native Japan. He also has a successful solo career where, in addition to winning several Japan Gold Disc Awards, he won the Grammy Award for Best Pop Instrumental Album for '' Take Your Pick'' (2010), which he made in collaboration with Larry Carlton. Matsumoto is only the fifth guitarist in the world to have his own Gibson signature model guitar. Career Matsumoto was inspired to pick up a guitar at the age of 13 when he heard Eric Clapton's playing on The Beatles song "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" for the first time. Hiroko Ishikawa (musician)
is a retired Japanese judoka. Ishikawa was born in Akabori, Gunma and began judo at the age of 12. She entered Resona Holdings, The Asahi Bank, Ltd after graduating from Saitama University in 1994. She excelled at ''Seoi nage'' and ''Ippon seoi nage''. She won the medals in the Asian Judo Championships, Asian Championships in 1988 and 1991. In 1997, Ishikawa participated in the World Judo Championships, World Championships held in Paris but was defeated by Séverine Vandenhende in the second round and Jung Sung-Sook in the consolation round. She retired after the Championships. Ishikawa had coached judo at the Shukutoku Junior Highschool from 1996 to 2005. Barry Sparks (born June 20, 1968 in Lucasville, Ohio) is an American Rock bassist/Guitarist from legendary bands such as Yngwie Malmsteen, the Michael Schenker Group, UFO, Dokken, and Ted Nugent, amongst others. Currently Sparks is part of the touring band for the Japanese rock group B'z, and has also contributed to many of their albums and singles.
