''Drag Race Sverige'' (internationally called ''Drag Race Sweden'') is a Swedish reality competition television series based on the American series ''RuPaul's Drag Race''. It is broadcast by SVT1 and SVT Play in Sweden and airs on WOW Presents Plus elsewhere. ''Drag Race Sverige'' is the twelfth international adaptation of the American reality competition series ''RuPaul's Drag Race'', following Chilean, Thai, British, Canadian, Dutch, Australian and New Zealand, Spanish, Italian, French, Filipino, and Belgian versions. It has been followed by Mexican, Brazilian, and German iterations. The adaptation was announced in April 2022 and casting began in May. Mastiff AB produces the show. Executive producers are RuPaul and Tom Campbell, as well as World of Wonder founders Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato. 2024 was the 64th edition of the Swedish music competition , which was organised by (SVT) and took place over a six-week period between 3 February and 9 March 2024, hosted by Carina Berg. The winners of the competition, Marcus & Martinus with "Unforgettable", represented in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 on home soil in Malmö, where they finished in ninth place. Format 2024 saw six weekly shows held in six Swedish cities (namely Malmö, Gothenburg, Växjö, Eskilstuna, Karlstad and Stockholm). Lawrence John Bolton, better known by the stage name Tia Kofi, is a British drag queen and singer from Clapham, South London. They are best known for competing on the second series of '' RuPaul's Drag Race UK'' (2021), and winning the second series of '' RuPaul's Drag Race: UK vs. the World'' (2024). Early life Kofi was born in Essex to a Nigerian mother (d. 2022) and a British father who met at university. Kofi attended the University of Nottingham, but did not graduate.
