Eldorado Merkoçi
Eldorado Merkoçi (born 6 January 1978 in Tirana) is an Albanian retired football player. He spent most of his playing career at KF Tirana, making over 200 appearances for the club and scoring a total of 40 goals. Club career He had a spell in Austria, playing for SV Wörgl alongside compatriot Auron Miloti in 2000. International career He made his debut for Albania in a February 1999 friendly match against Macedonia and earned a total of 2 caps, scoring no goals. His second and final international was an April 2001 friendly match against Turkey. Tirana
Tirana ( , ; aln, Tirona) is the capital and largest city of Albania. It is located in the centre of the country, enclosed by mountains and hills with Dajti rising to the east and a slight valley to the northwest overlooking the Adriatic Sea in the distance. Due to its location at the Plain of Tirana and the close proximity to the Mediterranean Sea, the city is particularly influenced by a Mediterranean seasonal climate. It is among the wettest and sunniest cities in Europe, with 2,544 hours of sun per year. Tirana was founded as a city in 1614 by the Ottoman Albanian general Sylejman Pasha Bargjini and flourished by then around the Old Mosque and the ''türbe''. 2005 Albanian Supercup
The 2005 Albanian Supercup is the 12th edition of the Albanian Supercup since its establishment in 1989. The match was contested between the Albanian Cup 2005 winners KS Teuta and the 2004–05 Albanian Superliga champions KF Tirana. The regular and extra time result ended goalless, therefore the verdict of penalty shoot-outs 5-4 crowned KF Tirana winners of the Supercup for the 5th time, three of these trophies won over the same team, KS Teuta. The 2002 Albanian Supercup is the ninth edition of the Albanian Supercup since its establishment in 1989. The match was contested between the Albanian Cup 2002 winners KF Tirana and the 2001–02 Albanian Superliga champions Dinamo Tirana. Albanian Supercup
The Albanian Supercup is a single match usually at the beginning of the season between the winners of the Kategoria Superiore and Albanian Cup. Supercup final was not played in the occasions when the champion team won the Double. However, after year 2000 AFA rules changed and the final would still be played against the Cup runner-ups. Albanian Cup
The Albanian Cup ( sq, Kupa e Shqipërisë) is the main "knockout" competition in Albanian football. The competition started in 1939 as Kupa e Mbretit ( English:"The King's Cup"). Just after a year the cup was suspended as the Second World War started. It started again in 1948 as "Kupa e Republikes" ( English: "Republic Cup") and from 1991 as "Kupa e Shqipërisë" (Albanian Cup). Today it is the second most important competition in Albania after the Kategoria Superiore. The winners of the Cup automatically earn the right to participate in the 1st qualifying round of the Europa Conference League.
