Elaris AG is a German automotive company founded in 2020 in Grünstadt, Rhineland-Palatinate specializing in marketing Chinese electric vehicles. History Elaris was founded in 2020 in the town of Grünstadt, with the company's first models, the DYO microcar (based on the Dorcen E20) and the Leo compact SUV (based on the Dorcen G60S) launching in May 2021. Later that month, the Skyworth EV6-based Beo mid-size SUV was launched. In June, a second microcar based on the Zhidou D2 (called simply Elaris Zhidou) was revealed. The Skyworth EV6 (introduced as Skywell ET5) is an electric mid-size crossover SUV produced since 2021 by Chinese automotive company Skyworth Auto, a joint venture by bus manufacturer Skywell Group and consumer electronics manufacturer Skyworth Group. Zotye E30
The Zotye Zhima E30 (芝麻) or Zotye E30 is an all-electric car that was manufactured by the Chinese manufacturer Zotye in the mid-2010s. A revised version of the model was later manufactured by Dorcen as the Dorcen E20. Overview The Zotye Zhima E30 was unveiled during the 2016 Shanghai Auto Show in China with prices ranging from 109,800 to 119,800 yuan at that time. According to the official website, the Zotye Zhima E30 model was later renamed to Zotye Domy Zhima under the Domy product series. Dorcen was a Chinese car marque introduced in September 2018 and owned by Dorcen Motor Co., Ltd. The marque vehicles were produced at facilities formerly owned by JMCG's JMCGL and Zotye Domy. The brand filed for bankruptcy in 2021. History In May 2014, a company called Dancheng (Dorcen) Motor Co., Ltd. was established in Jintan District, Changzhou, based on a Zotye facility aimed at producing Domy-badged vehicles. Grünstadt ( pfl, Grinnschdadt) is a town in the Bad Dürkheim district in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany with roughly 13,200 inhabitants.
