The Korn Ferry Tour is the developmental tour for the U.S.-based PGA Tour, and features professional golfers who have either not yet reached the PGA Tour, or who have done so but then failed to win enough FedEx Cup points to stay at that level. Rick Todd
Rick Todd (born October 3, 1962) is a Canadian professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour, Nationwide Tour, Asian Tour, Japan Golf Tour and the Canadian Tour. Todd was born in Toronto, Ontario. He played college golf at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). He was second team All-American in 1986, third team in 1985 and honorable mention in 1984 and made the All- WAC first team four years in a row. He won four tournaments while at UTEP and was elected into the El Paso Golf Hall of Fame in 1984. He turned pro in 1987. Todd joined the PGA Tour in 1990, earning his card through qualifying school. After an unsuccessful year on Tour, he joined the Ben Hogan Tour (now Nationwide Tour) where he won the Ben Hogan El Paso Open in his rookie season. Mike Springer
} Michael Paul Springer (born November 3, 1965) is an American professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour and the Nationwide Tour. Springer was born in San Francisco, California. He attended the University of Arizona. He turned pro in 1988 and joined the PGA Tour in 1991. Springer began his career in professional golf on the Ben Hogan Tour, a predecessor of what later became the Korn Ferry Tour. He won three events in this venue in 1990 (including the tour's very first event in Bakersfield) and one in 1992. His first PGA Tour win came as a wire-to-wire victory in 1994 at the KMart Greater Greensboro Open. His career year was 1994 when he won two PGA Tour events, earned $770,711, and finished 13th on the money list. Springer has 22 top-10 finishes in PGA Tour events. Bob Friend (born December 5, 1963) is an American professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour and the Nationwide Tour. Golfing career Friend joined the Ben Hogan Tour (now Nationwide Tour) in 1990 and recorded five top-10 finished including a second-place finish at the Ben Hogan El Paso Open during his rookie year on Tour. The following year he won the Ben Hogan Fort Wayne Open and earned his PGA Tour card for 1992 through qualifying school. In his rookie year on Tour he didn't play well enough to retain full-time status on Tour but his 137th-place finish gave him partial status. He split time between Tours in 1993 with the highlights of his year coming on the Nationwide Tour where he recorded a second-place finish and a tied for third finish.
