''El mejor papá del mundo'' (''The Best Dad in the World'') is a 1941 black and white Argentine drama. It explores a son's gradual realization that his father is far from perfect, and also conveys a message hostile to global capitalism. Production ''El mejor papá del mundo'' was a black and white Lumiton film directed by Francisco Múgica and written by Sixto Pondal Ríos. It starred Elías Isaac Alippi, Ángel Magaña and Nuri Montsé. The film was released on 14 March 1941. Synopsis The film depicts the changing relationship between a prestigious lawyer (Elías Isaac Alippi) and his young son (Ángel Magaña). The son, recently graduated from college and planning to follow in his father's footsteps, gradually discovers the large gap between his idealized image of his father and the reality. Francisco Múgica
Francisco Múgica (10 April 1907 – 1985) was an Argentine film director, film editor and cinematographer. He was born and died in Buenos Aires. Múgica initially began his career in film as a cinematographer in the mid-1930s but by 1939 he had become a film director directing his first film ''El Solterón'' early that year followed by the highly successful comedy '' Así es la vida''. He directed some 25 films including the 1942 film ''Adolescencia''. He retired from film in 1962. Mario Caldato Jr. (born February 24, 1961), also known as Mario C., is a Brazilian-born record producer and studio engineer best known for his work with Beastie Boys, Jack Johnson in the US, Marcelo D2 and Seu Jorge in Brazil. Early life Caldato was born in Sao Paolo, Brazil. When he was two years old, his family moved to Los Angeles. Caldato began playing keyboards as a youth and took classical music lessons.
