Egypt has a centralised system of local government officially called local administration as it is a branch of the Executive. Matrouh Governorate ( ar, محافظة مطروح ) is one of the governorates of Egypt. Located in the north-western part of the country, it borders Libya. Its capital is Mersa Matruh.
