''El Comienzo'' (English: The Beginning) is the debut studio album by American regional Mexican music band Grupo Frontera. It was released on August 3, 2023 through VHR Music. Background and release Grupo Frontera was formed in 2019 and they created their YouTube channel in 2022, where they released their debut single "La Plata" in April. That same month, they released their second single " No Se Va"; a cover of Morat's original song, which eventually became a hit for the band, and their first hit single. After their rise in popularity, they kept releasing other singles, usually with other artists. At the end of July 2023, the Grupo Frontera announced that their debut album, along with the cover would be released on August 3, 2023. Grupo Frontera is an American regional Mexican band from Edinburg, Texas. The band consists of Adelaido "Payo" Solís III (vocals, bajo quinto), Juan Javier Cantú (vocals, accordion), Julian Peña Jr. (congas), Alberto "Beto" Acosta (bajo quinto), Carlos Guerrero (drums), and Carlos Zamora (bass guitar). Grupo Firme is a Regional Mexican band based in Tijuana, Baja California, founded in 2014. They have received nominations for a variety of awards that include Premios Juventud and Premio Lo Nuestro, being the winner in 2021 of the latter in five categories. History Grupo Firme was founded in 2014 in the city of Tijuana by Eduin Cazares and Jairo Corrales. In 2017, they released their debut album ''Pasado, Presente, Futuro'' with a total of twelve songs. It was not very successful, but it got them noticed by the music scene. Tenor Horn
The tenor horn (British English; alto horn in American English, Althorn in Germany; occasionally referred to as E horn) is a brass instrument in the saxhorn family and is usually pitched in E. Tololoche
The tololoche is a traditional musical instrument from southern Mexico. Its name comes from "tolo loch", from the Mayan language: tolo (bull) and loch (embraced), which would later become tololoche. It is similar to but smaller than the European double bass, and still large enough to produce low-pitched sounds. It has three or four strings, and is plucked with the fingers (pizzicato). It is purely a folk instrument, and not used in classical music. In northern Mexico it is used in Fara Fara and norteño music. These styles include the accordion, snare drum, tololoche, saxophone, guitar or bajo sexto. It is also used by musicians playing in bars and taverns in northern cities. Bajo Sexto
Bajo sexto ( Spanish: "sixth bass") is a Mexican string instrument from the guitar family with 12 strings in six double courses. A closely related instrument is the bajo quinto (Spanish: "fifth bass") which has 10 strings in five double courses. In playing, the left hand holds the strings against frets on a fingerboard, while the right hand plucks or strums the strings. When played in older styles of music where the instrument assumes the role of a bass, the strings are usually plucked with the fingers. Ranchera () or canción ranchera is a genre of traditional music of Mexico. It dates to before the years of the Mexican Revolution. Rancheras today are played in virtually all regional Mexican music styles.
