''El-Limby'' ar, اللمبي is an Egyptian comedy movie that hit the theaters in 2002, starring the stars of Arabic cinema Mohamed Saad that played the role of a husband called El-Limby, Hasan Hosni, Hala Shiha, and Abla Kamel. The movie El-Limby is considered to be a major hit in Arabic cinema as it influenced the demand for Arabic movies and made the people want more movies like it. The movie got such high reviews to the extent that astonished the producers themselves as Mohamed Saad overtook the famous actor Adel Imam. Saad’s income sprung through the roof as the movie made him around £E 6 million which is an extremely high number for Arabic cinema. Mohamed Saad (actor)
Mohamed Saad Abdel-Hamid Ibrahim (born 14 December 1968) ( ar, محمد سعد عبد الحميد إبراهيم, ) is an Egyptian film actor and comedian, active since 1988. Saad known for comedic roles. Saad started his career acting several supporting roles, his first breakthrough was opposite Salah Zulfikar in ''Road To Eilat'' (1994). His second role that brought him fame was in ''El Nazer'' (2000). Then Saad took the lead in '' El-Limby'' (2002; the name, that of Saad's character, is a play on the name of one of Egypt's colonial figures, High Commissioner Edmund Allenby). Playing the film's "illiterate, inefficient, slow, stoned and drunk" hero, Saad "invests his first leading role with a hyperactive physical energy, especially evident in dance sequences." Hussein Al-Imam
Hussein al-Imam (in Arabic حسين الإمام; February 8, 1951 in Egypt – May 17, 2014) was a well-known Egyptian film musician, actor and producer. El-Imam began his career playing music with his brother Moody El-Emam. This developed into an artistic partnership between the two brothers and they created ''Thebes band'' which released five albums together. Al-Imam wrote the soundtracks of many Egyptian films including '' Kaboria'' (1990) which he also produced, starring Ahmed Zaki and ''Ice Cream in Gleem'' (1992) starring Egyptian pan-Arab pop star Amr Diab which El-Imam produced as well. He also wrote the musical score for a number of theatrical works on stage like ''Albanda'', ''Lamma baba yenam'' and ''Lil kibar faqat'' as well as a number of Egyptian television series. Hassan Hosny ( ar, حسن حسني) (June 19, 1931 – May 30, 2020) was an Egyptian actor and comedian. He was known for El Nazer ("The headmaster") (2000), El basha telmiz (2004) and Zaky Chan (2005). Widely regarded as a veteran of Egyptian cinema, his acting career spanned over 50 years and included performances in almost 500 films, television programs and theatre plays. Lotfy Labib (Arabic: لطفي لبيب, born 18 August 1938) is an Egyptian stage, television and film actor. He also worked as an announcer at one point. Despite having graduated from the Institute of Theatrical Arts in 1970, Labib's career was delayed for a whole decade. First, he was drafted in the army for six years, and then travelled outside Egypt for four years. His career truly started in 1981, when he acted in the play "The Bald Singer," which he followed with another stage production "The Hostages."
