Eks Libris
''Eks Libris'' is a weekly satirical comic strip with stories from the literary world that is published in the Danish newspaper ''Weekendavisens literary supplement ''Bøger''. It is written by Frank Madsen and drawn by Sussi Bech. It was from September 2009 to October 2010 co-written by Mette Finderup. The newspaper strips is published annually in booklets by Forlaget Eudor. Characters Characters include the writer Finn Sysholm, the poet Sune Lynder, two librarians, two booksellers and a group of editors from the fictional publishing house Buch Binders. A number of real people have also made guest appearances in the comic strip, including authors Ib Michael, Klaus Rifbjerg and Minister of Culture Per Stig Møller Per Stig Møller (; born 27 August 1942) is a Danish politician. Frank Madsen
Frank Bruun Madsen (born 1962 in Kalundborg, Denmark) is a Denmark, Danish author, illustrator and comics artist. He is married to another Danish comics artist, Sussi Bech. Together they produce a weekly satirical comic strip "Eks LIBRIS, Libris" for the literary supplement of Weekendavisen. Frank is also the author of Kurt Dunder, an adventure comic created in the ligne claire style, and three comic albums with LEGOs science fiction character Jim Spaceborn. Awarded the Hanne Hansen Prize in 2017. Three times nominated for the Claus Deleuran Prize (best comics author, 2016, 2017 and 2018). ''Weekendavisen'' (meaning ''The Weekend Newspaper'' in English) is a Danish weekly broadsheet newspaper published on Fridays in Denmark. Its circulation (as of 2007) is approximately 60,000 copies, about ten per cent of which cover subscriptions outside Denmark. According to opinion polls, however, the actual number of readers is much higher (290,000 in 2007). History Until 1971 the Danish postal service distributed mail twice daily, in the morning and in the afternoon. Ib Michael (born 1945 in Roskilde, Denmark) is a Danish novelist and poet. His writing style has been described as magic realism. He attended the University of Copenhagen, where he studied Central American and Indian Language and Culture. Michael is the author of the works "Kejserfortællingen" (The Tiger's Tale), "Kilroy, Kilroy", "Vanillepigen" (The Vanilla Girl), "Den tolvte rytter" (The Midnight Soldier), "Brev til månen" (Letter to the Moon), and "Prins" (Prince). Klaus Rifbjerg
Klaus Rifbjerg (15 December 1931 – 4 April 2015) was a Danish writer. He authored more than 170 novels, books and essays. In 1965 he co-produced the film '' 4x4'' which was entered into the 4th Moscow International Film Festival. Biography Rifbjerg was born in Copenhagen and grew up on the island of Amager, which is part of the city, the child of two teachers. Later he studied English and literature, in Copenhagen and for a year in the US at Princeton University. His breakthrough was in 1958 with the novel ''Den kroniske Uskyld''. It was made into a film in 1985, directed by Edward Fleming. From that time on he published more than 100 novels as well as poetry and short story collections, plays, TV and radio plays, film scripts, children's books and diaries. Rifbjerg is also known for having been a journalist and critic.
