Ekityki (lake)
Lake Ekityki () is a lake in Iultinsky District, Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, Russian Federation. Geography The lake lies in the Chukotka Mountains, in the Siberian Far East. The Ekityki River flows through and it belongs to its basin. The shape of the Ekityki Lake is long and narrow. It is oriented from east to west and is long with an average width of . The Ekityk Range stretches above the northern shore. Like all lakes of the tundra, it is frozen for the greatest part of the year. Lake Ervynaygytgyn lies about to the southwest. Fauna Lake Ekityki is the only location in the whole Eurasian continent where the Pygmy Whitefish, Pygmy whitefish is found. Ekityki River
The Ekityki () is a stream located in Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, Chukotka, in Far East Siberia. It belongs to the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug administrative region of Russia. It is long, and has a drainage basin of . The easternmost remains of woolly rhinoceroses (Coelodonta antiquitatis) have been found in the Ekityki river basin. Course The Ekityki originates in the Chukotka Mountains. It makes its way eastwards through sparsely populated mountainous areas of the Eastern Siberian tundra. It flows across the Ekityki (lake), Ekityki lake into the left side of the Amguema (river), Amguema in Central Chukotka. The Chantalvergyrgyn is a left tributary of the Ekityki. Fauna Salmon, Freshwater whitefish, whitefish, Coregonus albula, vendace, Thymallus, grayling, Esox, pike, smelts, rainbow herring (northwestern smelt), burbot, bull trout and loach are common in its waters.
