Ekaphan Inthasen
Ekaphan Inthasen ( th, เอกพันธ์ อินทเสน, born September 23, 1983) is a Thai retired professional footballer who played as a winger. He previously played for two other clubsides in Thailand and Vietnam. He won the Thailand Premier League title with Chonburi in 2007, followed by the Kor Royal Cup in 2008 in which has earned himself a call up to the Thailand national football team. Club career Ekaphan born in Surat Thani. Ekaphan began his career in the youth team of his home club Surat Thani F.C. at the age of 16 years. In 2002, he joined the youth team of the Bangkok Bank and played from 2004 for the seniors section of the club. In 2006, he went to Vietnam for a season to Nam Dinh F.C. in the V.League. Kor Royal Cup
Kor Royal Cup ( th, ถ้วยพระราชทาน ก. ; ถ้วย ก.), known as the Yai Cup ( th, ถ้วยใหญ่) until 1963, was the highest level of club football competition which competed in the tournament in Thailand from 1916 to 1995. It was founded by the Football Association of Thailand in 1916. Department of Performing Arts was the first team that won this competition. In 1996, Thai League 1 was formed by the Football Association of Thailand to act as the top professional football league in place of Kor Royal cup. For this Reason, Kor Royal Cup has been adapted to be the trophy contested annually between the champions and the runners-up of Thai Premier League up to 2009. Thai FA Cup
The Thai FA Cup ( th, ไทยเอฟเอคัพ), known officially as The Football Association of Thailand Cup, is a football cup competition in Thailand. Thai FA Cup is an annual knockout association football competition in men's domestic football. It was held between 1974 and 1999 and relaunched in 2009. Raj Vithi won the first two editions. In 2009 it was announced that the Thai FA Cup would return to the Thai football calendar. All the teams from the Thai League 1 and Division 1 League were automatically entered and teams from the Division 2 League as well as university and schools teams could apply to enter. The qualifying round took place from 27–30 June. The first round proper will see sixteen qualifiers progress to the second round where they will each meet a Division 1 side. 2007 Thailand Premier League
The 2007 Thai Premier League had 16 teams, combining the 12 member clubs from the 2006 season, the top two clubs from Division 1, and two clubs from the Pro League 1. The official name of the league at this time was Thailand Premier League. Matches were normally played on Saturdays with a 4pm kick off time but there were some 5pm or 6pm started and some midweek fixtures. Evening kick offs were rare. The season would have a three-month break from mid-May to mid-August because of the Asian Cup which was being co-hosted by Thailand from July 7–29 and the world university games, the Universiade, in Bangkok from August 8–18. Normally only the Premier League champions are allowed to take part in the AFC Champions League. Thai Premier League
The Thai League 1 ( th, ไทยลีก 1), often referred to as T1, is the top level of the Thai football league system. Contested by 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with Thai League 2. Seasons run from August to May, with each team playing 30 games (playing all 15 other teams both home and away). It is sponsored by Toyota Motor Thailand and therefore officially known as the Hilux Revo Thai League. The King's Cup is an international football tournament organised in Thailand by the Football Association of Thailand. The host, Thailand, is a participant in every edition. The tournament was founded in 1968, and has been held every year since, with the exception of 1983, 1985, 2008, 2011, 2014, 2020 and 2021. Surakul Stadium
Surakul Stadium (; ) is a multi-purpose stadium in Phuket Province, Thailand. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium holds 15,000 and was built in 1959. The stadium co-hosted the 2008 AFF Suzuki Cup. The use of the Surakul Stadium for this tournament had to be hastily arranged. Stadiums in Bangkok were intended to be used but because of the airport takeovers in Bangkok by the PAD the AFF in consultation with the FAT decided to switch venues. Despite better stadiums being available in Nakhon Ratchasima (5th December Stadium); Chiang Mai ( 700th Anniversary Stadium) and Songkhla (Tinsulanon Stadium); the Surakul Stadium was chosen as all the teams could fly directly into Phuket. The stadium also played host to the 2009 King's Cup which included a notorious game involving Thailand and Lebanon where the latter walked off the pitch during the game as they became incensed by what they saw as biased refereeing. AFC Cup
The AFC Cup is an annual continental club football competition organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). Under its current rules, the competition is played primarily between clubs from nations that did not receive direct qualifying slots in the top-tier AFC Champions League, based on the AFC Club Competitions Ranking. Al-Kuwait SC and Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya are the most successful clubs in the competition's history, having won three titles each. Clubs from Kuwait have won four titles, making them the most successful nation in the competition. 2008 AFC Champions League
The 2008 AFC Champions League was the 27th AFC Champions League, the top-level Asian club football tournament, and the 6th under the current AFC Champions League title. It was the last AFC Champions League before the competition expanded to 32 teams.
