''Ek Bar Bolo Uttam Kumar'' () is a 2009 comedy Bengali film directed by Chinmoy Roy. The film stars Parambrata Chatterjee, Mumtaz Sorcar, Soumitra Chatterjee, Sabitri Chatterjee, Piyali Munshi and Diganta Bagchi. This film is Chinmoy Roy's directorial debut and that of magician PC Sorcar Junior’s youngest daughter Mumtaz Sorcar. Plot The film is about Kyabla ( Parambrata Chatterjee), who lives in the slums, and falls for rich girl Bobby (Mumtaz Sorcar). Bobby loves Prem ( Diganta Bagchi) and hates Kyabla. But Kyabla, who is obsessed with Uttam Kumar's films, won’t give up easily. The film is a funny take on the love triangle. Chinmoy Roy
Chinmoy Roy (1940–2019) was an Indian Bengali actor. He was famous for his comic roles in Bengali movies, though his versatility allowed him to play a variety of roles. Though he was known for portraying various character roles, Roy was equally at ease in portraying the famous fictional character Tenida on screen. He held his own among prominent performers like Soumitra Chatterjee, Robi Ghose and Tarun Kumar in the comedies ''Basanto Bilap'', ''Dhonni Meye'', and ''Nanigopaler Biye''. He was also seen in a small role in Satyajit Ray's '' Goopy Gyne o Bagha Byne'', in which he portrayed a spy working for the Minister of Halla. Roy had to contend with chronic health problems. Nonetheless, he had been working on a script for a film called ''Sudama- The Half Man''. P. C. Sorcar Jr. (formal name Prodip Chandra Sorcar; born 31 July 1946) is an Indian magician based in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. He is the second son of Indian magician P. C. Sorcar. He is also the recipient of Merlin Award in Magic. He holds a doctorate degree in applied psychology from the University of Calcutta, and holds the record of being the highest individual foreign exchange earner in entertainment. Sorcar contested the 2014 Indian general election from Barasat (Lok Sabha constituency) as the Bharatiya Janata Party candidate and lost to Dr. Kakali Ghosh Dastidar of Trinamool Congress.
