Adriana Ehlers (September 28, 1894 – April 16, 1972), was a Mexican documentary newsreel filmmaker, film director, cinematographer, businessperson, photographer, and educator. She and her sister Dolores Ehlers are pioneers in film, and are thought to be the first female filmmakers in Mexico. They were internationally known for their filmmaking, but were less known as public figures within Mexico during their lifetime. They had a filmmaking supply business out of their home, called Casa Ehlers; they had a film production company called Revistas Ehlers'';'' and worked for the federal government of Mexico to establish the Department of Cinematography. As a fighter ace, he was credited with 55—that is, 55 aerial combat encounters resulting in the destruction of the enemy aircraft—claimed in an unknown number of combat missions. He claimed eleven victories on the Eastern Front (World War II), Eastern Front and 44 over the Allies of World War II, Western Allies, including 23 four-engine bombers. Nikolaj Ehlers (born 14 February 1996) is a Danish professional ice hockey forward for the Winnipeg Jets of the National Hockey League (NHL). Ehlers previously played ice hockey in Switzerland, where his father Heinz was a coach, and then moved to North America in 2013 to play with the Halifax Mooseheads of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL). Anke Ehlers (born 11 January 1957) is a German psychologist and expert in post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). She is a Fellow of the major science academies of the UK and Germany. She currently works at the University of Oxford as Wellcome Trust Principal Research Fellow and Professor of Experimental Psychopathology. With husband David M. Clark, she developed a cognitive model for PTSD. Therapy she and others based on that model is strongly recommended for treating PTSD by the American Psychological Association. Anke's research has shown that it is a common problem among emergency medical workers, and that a commonly used therapy for PTSD, psychological debriefing, has little provable therapeutic value.
