Effect Radio is a network of radio stations airing a Christian Rock format. The network is owned by The River Christian Fellowship, formerly Calvary Chapel of Twin Falls, Idaho, United States. Radio Network
There are two types of radio network currently in use around the world: the one-to-many (simplex communication) broadcast network commonly used for public information and mass media, mass-media entertainment, and the two-way radio (Duplex (telecommunications), duplex communication) type used more commonly for public safety and public services such as police, fire, taxicabs, and delivery services. Height Above Average Terrain
Height above average terrain (HAAT), or (less popularly) effective height above average terrain (EHAAT), is the vertical position of an antenna site above the surrounding landscape. HAAT is used extensively in FM radio and television, as it is more important than effective radiated power (ERP) in determining the range of broadcasts ( VHF and UHF in particular, as they are line of sight transmissions). For international coordination, it is officially measured in meters, even by the Federal Communications Commission in the United States, as Canada and Mexico have extensive border zones where stations can be received on either side of the international boundaries. In broadcasting, a flagship (also known as a flagship station or key station) is the broadcast station which originates a television network, or a particular radio or television program that plays a key role in the branding of and consumer loyalty to a network or station. This includes both direct network feeds and broadcast syndication, but generally not backhauls. Not all networks or shows have a flagship station, as some originate from a dedicated radio or television studio. The term derives from the naval custom where the commanding officer of a group of naval ships would fly a distinguishing flag. Silver City, Idaho
Silver City is a ghost town in northwestern Owyhee County, Idaho, United States, that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). At its height in the 1880s, it was a gold and silver mining town with a population of around 2,500 and approximately 75 businesses. Description Silver City served as county seat of Owyhee County from 1867 to 1934. Today, the town has about 70 standing buildings, all of which are privately owned. KCIF
KCIF (90.3 FM broadcasting, FM) is a radio station in Hilo, Hawaii. The station is owned by CSN International and airs a Christian rock format as an affiliate of Effect Radio. History KCIF is the spiritual successor to another Hilo Christian radio station, KFSH at 97.1 MHz. That station, owned by the University of the Nations, was sold in July 1995 and became secular KNWB. As a result, Hilo Christian Broadcasting was formed, airing programming on KPUA (670 AM) and receiving a $60,000 equipment donation from the former KFSH. The changeover also required Hilo Christian to find new studio space. KCIF began broadcasting in 1998. Effective May 22, 2020, Hilo Christian Broadcasting sold KCIF to Calvary Chapel of Twin Falls, owner of the CSN International network, for $25,000.
