Edyr Duqui
Edyr de Castro (2 September 1946 – 15 January 2019) was a Brazilian actress and singer. She initially signed her original name, but later took on the stage name Edyr Duqui. She was one of the members of the vocal group As Frenéticas, and was also member of the group ''Mucamas do Painho'', derived from her participation in the program ''Chico Anysio Show''. She was married to singer and composer Zé Rodrix. As Frenéticas (The Frenetics) was a six-piece Brazilian girl group formed in 1976 in Rio de Janeiro, at the peak of nightclubs' success in Brazil. History On 5 August 1976, composer and music producer Nelson Motta opened a nightclub at a shopping center in Gávea, Rio de Janeiro; it was named Frenetic Dancing Days Discotheque and was a huge success. In order to serve customers at the few tables available, he hired singer-waitresses that would perform three or four songs by surprise. Sandra Pêra (Motta's sister-in-law on behalf of her sister Marília Pêra) showed interest in the position and brought her friends Regina Chaves, Leiloca and Lidoka, who were once members of Dzi Croquettes, and singer Dhu Moraes. Suggested by the club's DJ, actress Edyr de Castro, who took part in ''Hair'' musical, completed the sextet. ''Something in the Air'' () is a 2002 Brazilian drama film directed by Helvécio Ratton. It is based on the actual history about Rádio Favela, a community radio broadcaster established in Aglomerado da Serra, a ''favela'' of Belo Horizonte in the 1980s. It shows how it was persecuted by the police while four friends try to keep the radio. Alexandre Moreno, Adolfo Moura, Babu Santana and Benjamim Abras were chosen to star the film after 3,000 people tried for their roles. It was shot in Aglomerado da Serra and used about 300 of the local people as extras. Zé Rodrix
Zé Rodrix (; 25 November 1947 – 22 May 2009) was a Brazilian composer, instrumentalist, and singer. He was well known in his native country for performing with musical ensembles Sá & Guarabyra, Sá, Rodrix & Guarabyra, Som Imaginário and Momento Quatro. A native of Rio de Janeiro, José Rodrigues Trindade used a modified spelling of his middle name as part of his stage name throughout a career that spanned over four decades. Som Imaginario, with another well-known member, Robertinho Silva, accompanied Milton Nascimento and Gal Costa and, in 1971, Elis Regina's recording of his rock-rural "Casa no Campo" (with Tavito) became a huge hit.
