Edy Cabrera
Edy Cabrera (born August 14, 1977) is a Guatemalan football defender who currently plays for Deportivo Malacateco in Guatemala's top division. Club career Cabrera is the older brother of national team stalwart Gustavo and both started playing football at JuCa de Izabal before moving to Guatemalan giants Comunicaciones. The brothers were separated when Edy joined Cobán Imperial. He later moved on to Deportivo Jalapa and had a second, short, spell at Comunicaciones before joining Juventud Retalteca in 2009. International career Cabrera made his debut for Guatemala as a late substitute in a January 2000 friendly match against Panama and earned a total of 6 caps, scoring no goals. Gustavo Adolfo Cabrera
Gustavo Adolfo Cabrera Marroquín (born 13 December 1979 in Santo Tomás, Guatemala) is a former Guatemalan football defender who last played for Deportivo Marquense in the Liga Nacional de Guatemala and was also a member of the Guatemala national team. On 12 September 2012 he was banned from play for life due to allegations of match-fixing. FIFA World Cup Qualification
The FIFA World Cup qualification is a competitive match that a national association football team takes in order to qualify for one of the available berths at the final tournament of the (men's) FIFA World Cup. Qualifying tournaments are held within the six FIFA continental zones, each organized by their respective confederations: AFC (Asia), CAF (Africa), CONCACAF (North and Central America and the Caribbean), CONMEBOL (South America), OFC (Oceania), and UEFA (Europe). Panama National Football Team
The Panama national football team ( es, Selección de fútbol de Panamá) represents Panama in men's international football and is governed by the Panamanian Football Federation. The team represents all three FIFA, CONCACAF and the regional UNCAF. Panama qualified for the FIFA World Cup for the first time for the 2018 tournament in Russia and scored their first goal of the World Cup against England, although they lost the match 6–1. In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender). A player who has been substituted during a match takes no further part in the game, in games played under the standard International Football Association Board Laws of the Game. Substitutions were officially added to the Laws of the Game in 1958. Prior to this most games were played with no changes permitted at all, with occasional exceptions in cases of extreme injury or players not arriving to matches on time.
