Edward Scanlon
Edward A. Scanlon (14 May 1890 – after 1914), also known as Ted Scanlan, was an English association football, footballer who made 29 appearances in the Football League playing for Lincoln City F.C., Lincoln City. He played as an inside forward or left half. He also played non-league football in his native north east of England for Wallsend, North Shields F.C., North Shields Athletic, Jarrow F.C., Jarrow and South Shields F.C. Hebburn
Hebburn is a town in the metropolitan county of Tyne and Wear, England. It governed under the borough of South Tyneside; formerly governed under the county of Durham until 1974 with its own urban district from 1894 until 1974. It is on the south bank of the River Tyne between Gateshead and Jarrow and opposite Wallsend and Walker. The population of Hebburn was 18,808 in 2001, History In Saxon times Hebburn was a small fishing hamlet upon the river Tyne. Non-League football describes association football, football leagues played outside the top leagues of a country. Usually, it describes leagues which are not fully professional. Gateshead A
Gateshead () is a large town in northern England. It is on the River Tyne's southern bank, opposite Newcastle to which it is joined by seven bridges. The town contains the Millennium Bridge, The Sage, and the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art, and has on its outskirts the twenty metre tall Angel of the North sculpture. Historically part of County Durham, under the Local Government Act 1888 the town was made a county borough, meaning it was administered independently of the county council. The Southern League is a men's Association football, football competition featuring semi-professional clubs from the Southern England, South and The Midlands, Midlands of England. Forwards (also known as attackers) are outfield positions in an association football team who play the furthest up the pitch and are therefore most responsible for scoring goals as well as assisting them.
