Colonel Edward Meeker Haight (May 30, 1896—December 5, 1975) was a flying ace when he served as a lieutenant in World War I. Overview Even before the United States entry into World War I in April 1917, many Americans volunteered to serve in the armed forces of Great Britain and France.
