Edward Iordănescu
Edward "Edi" Iordănescu (; born 16 June 1978), sometimes known as Iordănescu Jr., is a Romanian professional Association football, football Manager (association football), manager and former player, currently in charge of Ekstraklasa club Legia Warsaw. A midfielder, Iordănescu represented nine teams during a rather uneventful playing career, including stints abroad with Panionios F.C., Panionios and Alki Larnaca FC, Alki Larnaca. He started both his playing and coaching career at FCSB, Steaua București, emulating his father Anghel Iordănescu, Anghel. Following his retirement as a player, Iordănescu emerged as a notable figure in the Romanian managerial sphere, earning praise for his meticulous approach to match preparation. Asociația Fotbal Club Astra Giurgiu (), commonly known as Astra Giurgiu or simply Astra, was a Romanian football club last based in the city of Giurgiu, Giurgiu County. Tudorel Stoica (born 7 September 1954, in Brăila, Brăila County, Romania) is a Romanian former footballer who played as a midfielder. He is the most capped player in the history of Steaua București. He is one of the most famous and successful players who has ever played in the Romanian First League. Alin Stoica
Alin Tudor Adi Stoica (born 10 December 1979) is a Romanian former professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. He has been called "one of the greatest, if not the greatest talent" in Belgian football in the late 1990s and early 2000s. In 2003, having recently retired as a player, Gheorghe Hagi named Stoica his potential successor. Having come through the youth ranks at Steaua București, the biggest club in Romania, he made his senior and professional debut in 1995 at the age of 16. He moved to Belgian club R.S.C. Steaua Stadium (), informally also known as Ghencea Stadium, was a association football, football stadium in Bucharest, Romania, which served as the home of CSA Steaua București (football), Steaua București. It was inaugurated on 9 April 1974 when Steaua played a friendly game against OFK Belgrade, 2–2. Gheorghe Tătaru was the first player to score in the stadium. The stadium was entirely demolished in 2018, and was replaced with a Stadionul Steaua (2021), new all-seater stadium opened in 2021. Anghel Iordănescu
Anghel Iordănescu (; born 4 May 1950), is a Romanian former footballer and former manager, who played as a forward. In 2007, Iordănescu retired from football, and the following February, after his predecessor resigned, he became a member of the Romanian Senate, sitting on the Social Democratic Party benches. On 26 December 2011, he became an independent senator, affiliated to the National Union for the Progress of Romania. His son, Edward Iordănescu, is also a former footballer, currently the head coach of the Romania national team.
