Edward H. Ives
Edward H. Ives (December 18, 1819November 18, 1892) was an American lawyer, Democratic Party (United States), Democratic politician, and pioneer of Iowa and Wisconsin. He was a member of the Wisconsin State Senate and Wisconsin State Assembly, State Assembly, representing Pierce County, Wisconsin, Pierce County, and earlier was sheriff of Des Moines County, Iowa. Biography Ives was born on December 18, 1819, in Newton Falls, Ohio. He was elected sheriff of Des Moines County, Iowa, in 1850. He moved to Prescott, Wisconsin, in 1858. In Pierce County, he was the publisher of the Prescott ''Plaindealer'', a Democratic partisan newspaper. Wisconsin's 28th State Senate District
The 28th Senate District of Wisconsin is one of 33 districts in the Wisconsin State Senate. Located in southeast Wisconsin, the district comprises southwest Milwaukee County, southern Waukesha County, northwest Racine County, and northeast Walworth County. It includes all of the city of Muskego, as well as most of the cities of Greenfield and Franklin, and the villages of East Troy, Eagle, Greendale, Hales Corners, Mukwonago, and Waterford. Barron County is a county located in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. As of the 2020 census, the population was 46,711. Its county seat is Barron. The county was created in 1859 and later organized in 1874. History The county was created in 1859 as Dallas County (named after Vice President George M. Dallas), with the county seat located at Barron. It was renamed Barron County on March 4, 1869. The county took the name Barron in honor of Wisconsin lawyer and politician Henry D.
