Edward Barto Gallagher (February 3, 1903 — October 1963) was a professional American football player for the New York Yankees. He attended high school in Asbury Park, New Jersey Asbury Park () is a beachfront city located on the Jersey Shore in Monmouth County in the U.S. state of New Jersey. It is part of the New York metropolitan area. As of the 2020 U.S. census, the city's population was 15,188
. He attended Washington & Jefferson College.

Ed Gallagher (American Football, Born 1957)
Edwin B. Gallagher (April 6, 1957 – May 4, 2005), better known as Ed Gallagher, was an American football player who played for the University of Pittsburgh at offensive tackle from 1977 to 1979. On March 1, 1985, Gallagher attempted to die by suicide due to depression as he struggled to come to terms with his homosexuality. The incident occurred twelve days after his first sexual encounter with another man. Gallagher survived the suicide attempt, but was left paraplegic. Gallagher later stated that before his attempt, "he had become unable to reconcile his image of himself as an athlete with gay urges." However, he believed that the incident also helped him: "I was more emotionally paralyzed then, than I am physically now." He went on to become an author and speak out publicly about disabilities and homosexuality, including in an interview with CBC Radio's ''The Inside Track'' for "The Last Closet", a special episode about homophobia in sports which aired in 1993.

Edward Michael Gallagher (November 28, 1910 – December 22, 1981) was a starting pitcher in Major League Baseball who played for the Boston Red Sox during the season. Listed at , 197 lb., Gallagher was a switch-hitter and threw left-handed. Biography A native of Dorchester, Massachusetts, Gallagher attended Boston College High School, and graduated from Boston College itself in 1932. A multi-sport athlete at BC, Gallagher not only excelled at baseball, but also was a two-way player for the school's football squad. While at Boston College in 1931, he played for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks, Barnstable town team in the Cape Cod Baseball League, and returned to Barnstable to play again in 1933 after his one-year stint in the big leagues. Ed Gallagher (born 4 August 1944) is a British scientist. He was a council member of English Nature and chair of the Pesticides Forum which is part of Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA). He is a Freeman of the City of London. Gallagher was chief executive of the National Rivers Authority from 1992 until 1995 when it was subsumed into the Environment Agency (EA) of England and Wales. He was then chief executive of the EA from 1995 to 2000. Gallagher was chairman of the governors at Middlesex University, where he is a visiting professor. He is also a fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, and the Chartered Institution of Water Environment Management, and a companion of the Institute of Management. Edward R. Gallagher (born May 29, 1979) is a retired United States Navy SEAL who was acquitted after being accused of war crimes. He came to national attention in the United States after he was charged in September 2018 with ten offenses under the Uniform Code of Military Justice. In the most prominently reported offense, he was accused of fatally stabbing an injured 17-year-old ISIS prisoner, photographing himself with the corpse, and sending the photo to friends. Edward Francis Gallagher (1873 – March 28, 1929) was a vaudeville actor and half of the act Gallagher and Shean. Their story was told in an animated movie ''Mr. Gallagher and Mr. Shean'' (1931) by Max Fleischer and Dave Fleischer, who also created Koko the Clown and Betty Boop. The Gallagher ( sga, Ó Gallchobhair, ''Ó Gallchobhoir''; Modern ga, Ó Gallachóir) family is an Irish clan based in County Donegal, Ulster. Edward Gallagher (politician)
Edward Gallagher (December 20, 1829 – March 8, 1896) was an American businessman and politician from New York. Life Gallagher was born on December 20, 1829 in Albany, New York. His parents were Irish immigrants. He attended public school in Albany and Hicks' Business College in Buffalo. He moved to Buffalo as a boy, and had an office in the Buffalo Central Wharf. He forwarded grain East over the Erie Canal. He was a founding member and trustee of the Buffalo Merchants' Exchange, and a member of the Ancient Order of United Workmen. In 1874, Gallagher was elected to the New York State Assembly as a Republican, representing Erie County, 3rd District. He would serve in the Assembly in 1875, 1876, 1877, 1886, 1887, 1888, 1891, 1892, and 1893. Gallagher's wife's name was Martha.
