Edward Blom
Edward Blom (born 22 October 1970 in Ekerö, Sweden) is a Swedish archivist, trade historian, writer and a television personality. Biography Blom was born in Ekerö (Sweden) and is the brother of Anna Dunér. He studied humanities at the universities of Trier, Stockholm, Uppsala and Freiburg, where he became a member of Corps Suevia Freiburg. In 1996, he earned a degree in archival studies. He is one of the founders of the Verein Corpsstudenten in Schweden (Students' Club Corp in Sweden), a board member of the Concordia Catholica (the Catholic Union) and an active member, among other things, of the Sällskapet Emil Hildebrands Vänner (Society of Emil Hilde's Friends) and Par Bricole. He was previously vice president of the Katolsk historisk förening i Sverige (Catholic Historical Association in Sweden). Melodifestivalen 2018
Melodifestivalen 2018 was the 58th edition of the Swedish music competition Melodifestivalen, which selected Sweden's entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2018. The competition was organised by Sveriges Television (SVT) and took place over a six-week period between 3 February and 10 March 2018. The format of the competition consists of 6 shows: 4 heat rounds, a second chance round and a final. An initial 28 entries were selected for the competition through three methods: an open call for song submissions, direct invitations to specific artists and songwriters and a wildcard given to one of the artists that participated in the ''Svensktoppen nästa'' competition organised by Sveriges Radio P4. The 28 competing entries were divided into four heats, with seven compositions in each. TV8 (Sweden)
TV8 is a television channel owned by Viaplay Group broadcasting to Sweden. It focuses on current affairs, documentaries and drama. The channel was started by the private equity firm Ratos in 1997 and was sold to MTG in 1999. For some years TV8 timeshared with the Scandinavian History Channel in the evening and Bloomberg Television at night and during the day; TV8's own shows were only broadcast during a few hours in the late evening. During the American invasion of Iraq in 2003 Bloomberg was replaced by the Fox News Channel. Fox News continued eventually but in December Bloomberg returned on some key slots during daytime. In November 2004, MTG launched their own historical channel Viasat History in the Nordic region. At the same time the programmes from History Channel disappeared from TV8. Sverigetopplistan (, lit. "the Sweden top list") is the Swedish national record chart, formerly known as Topplistan (1975–1997) and Hitlistan (1998–2007) and known by its current name since October 2007, based on sales data from the Swedish Recording Industry Association (in Swedish Grammofonleverantörernas förening). Before Topplistan, music sales in Sweden were recorded by Kvällstoppen, whose weekly chart was a combined albums and singles list. Lars Anders Cardinal Arborelius (; born 24 September 1949) is a Swedish Catholic cardinal. He has been Bishop of Stockholm since 1998. Pope Francis made him a cardinal, the first ever from Sweden and Scandinavia, on 28 June 2017.
