Edward (Ned) Lerner
Edward Lerner, or Ned Lerner, is a video game programmer and technology project leader in the video game industry. Career In 1983 he founded Lerner Research (a 3D simulation development company) which was responsible for ''Chuck Yeager's Advanced Flight Trainer'', ''Deep Space'', '' Ultima Underworld'', ''F-22 Interceptor'', and also created the first 3D system licensed by Electronic Arts. He later co-founded Blue Sky Productions (later Looking Glass Studios), filling the roles of Chairman of the Board, Chief Operating Officer, and VP Product Development. Chuck Yeager
Brigadier General Charles Elwood Yeager ( , February 13, 1923December 7, 2020) was a United States Air Force officer, flying ace, and record-setting test pilot who in October 1947 became the first pilot in history confirmed to have exceeded the speed of sound in level flight. Yeager was raised in Hamlin, West Virginia. His career began in World War II as a private in the United States Army, assigned to the Army Air Forces in 1941. After serving as an aircraft mechanic, in September 1942, he entered enlisted pilot training and upon graduation was promoted to the rank of flight officer (the World War II Army Air Force version of the Army's warrant officer), later achieving most of his aerial victories as a P-51 Mustang fighter pilot on the Western Front, where he was credited with shooting down 11.5 enemy aircraft (the half credit is from a second pilot assisting him in a single shootdown). ''FireTeam'' is a 1998 video game developed by Multitude, Inc. for Windows. Gameplay The game has three offline training sessions for player to familiarize themselves with the basics of the game. The rest of the content can only be played in the online multiplayer. The multiplayer consists of short matches with a time limit of 10 minutes each. There are four different game modes for the matches: Deathmatch, BaseTag, Gunball, and Capture the Flag. Players pick one of three characters to play in the game: a light-armoured scout, a commando, or an offensive oriented gunner. The chosen class can be switched while the player is dead in the game. The game initially contained 32 maps separated by the four games modes, but intended to add more maps to the game in the future. Between matches players can talk in chat rooms to strategize.
