The Educational Policy Institute (EPI) is a research organization founded by its current president and CEO, Dr. Watson Scott Swail. EPI is dedicated to high-level research and policy analysis on a variety of educational issues, including the challenges that individuals and families from underserved communities face throughout their educational career. EPI is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization based in Virginia Beach, Virginia, with partners in renowned research and educational organizations around the world. The resources and knowledge gained through these partnerships and collaborations enhance EPI's ability to conduct high-level research with global and local relevance and expertise. Public policy is an institutionalized proposal or a decided set of elements like laws, regulations, guidelines, and actions to solve or address relevant and real-world problems, guided by a conception and often implemented by programs.
