Eduardo Vallejo
Eduardo Vallejo (born August 2, 1968) is a Mexican-American former boxer who once fought for the World Boxing Organization's world Light-Flyweight title. He was also known as Eddie, and was sometimes introduced as Eddie Vallejo. Early life Vallejo was born in Mexico. As an adult, and in order to find more professional bouts, he moved to Tyler, Texas. Professional boxing career Vallejo started his professional boxing career on June 15, 1990, losing to Pauline Pumarejo by a four-round points decision in Matamoros, Tamaulipas. His next fight was his first fight abroad as a professional, when he traveled to London, England, to box Mickey Cantwell on January 21, 1991, losing that bout by knockout in round 4. Vallejo's first victory as a professional came during his third fight, when he defeated Amado Morado, on September 10, 1991, by a four-round decision at McAllen, Texas, United States. The World Boxing Organization (WBO) is an organization which sanctions professional boxing bouts. It is recognized by the International Boxing Hall of Fame (IBHOF) as one of the four major world championship groups, alongside the World Boxing Association (WBA), World Boxing Council (WBC), and International Boxing Federation (IBF). The Eastern Cape ( ; ) is one of the nine provinces of South Africa. Its capital is Bhisho, and its largest city is Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth). Alexander Sánchez Sepúlveda (born June 5, 1973) is a former Puerto Rican professional boxer. He held the WBO minimumweight title from 1993 to 1997. Boxing career Sánchez began his professional boxing career on October 4, 1991, knocking out Carlos Figueroa in round one at Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. After one more win that year, he took 1992 off, but came back in 1993 to post nine wins in a row before facing Orlando Malone for the WBO's world Strawweight championship. On December 22 of that year, Sánchez became a world champion by knocking Malone out in the first round at San Juan, Puerto Rico. He went on a European tour in 1994, retaining his title and winning a non-title bout in Spain, and retaining his title in Germany.
