Eduardo Nonato Joson
Eduardo Nonato "Edno" Noriel Joson (August 31, 1950 – March 12, 2025) was a Filipino lawyer and politician who served in the Congress of the Philippines, Philippine legislature as Regular Batasang Pambansa, assemblyman from Nueva Ecija (1984–1986) and House of Representatives of the Philippines, representative of Nueva Ecija's 1st congressional district, the province's first district (1987–1992 and 2007–2010). In the local level, he served as Governor of Nueva Ecija, provincial governor (1995–1998) wherein he was suspended twice in his tenure. He also served as administrator of the National Food Authority (Philippines), National Food Authority during Presidency of Joseph Estrada, the presidency of Joseph Estrada. Guimba
Guimba, officially the Municipality of Guimba (; ), is a municipality in the province of Nueva Ecija, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 127,653 people. It was incorporated by the King of Spain by virtue of a royal decree in 1897. Etymology Guimba came from the Ilocano term 'Gebba', which was the process of heating molded clay pots in a pit until they turn reddish and durable. Tree stumps were made into large pieces of charcoal. The live charcoals were placed underneath the clay pots. After a few hours these were hardened and ready to bring out from the pit and ready for use. Nueva Ecija Provincial Board
The Nueva Ecija Provincial Board is the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (provincial legislature) of the Philippine province of Nueva Ecija. The members are elected via plurality-at-large voting: the province is divided into four districts, the first and fourth districts sending three members each, while the second and third districts sending two members each to the provincial board; the number of candidates the electorate votes for and the number of winning candidates depends on the number of members their district sends.
