Eduard Buser
Eduard Buser (25 February 1913 – after 1938) was a Swiss footballer who played as a forward. Buser joined FC Basel's first team for the first time for their 1931–32 season. He made his domestic league debut for the club in the away game on 6 September 1931 as Basel were defeated 1–8 by Lugano. This was his only game for the club for some time. Buser rejoined Basel's first team in their 1937–38 season. In the second half of the season he played regularly. He scored his first goal for Basel on 20 February 1938 in the away game at the Neufeld against FC Bern as Basel won by seven goals to two. He stayed with the club for this and the following season. 1931–32 FC Basel Season
The FC Basel 1931–32 season was their thirty ninth season since the club's foundation on 15 November 1893. FC Basel played their home games in the Landhof in the district Wettstein in Kleinbasel. The club's new chairman Franz Rinderer, who took over the presidency from Otto Kuhn at the AGM on 11 July 1931. Overview Last season's coach/manager Austrian Gustav Putzendopler stayed on for his second season as trainer. Fellow Austrian international Otto Haftl signed in from AC Sparta Prague to the team becoming Basel's first ever fully professional football player. FC Lugano is a Swiss football club based in Lugano. The club was refounded as AC Lugano in 2004 as a result of relegation and the financial situation of FC Lugano, which was founded in 1908. The FC Basel 1937–38 season was the forty-fifth season since the club's foundation on 15 November 1893. FC Basel played their home games in the Landhof in the district Wettstein in Kleinbasel. Emil Junker was the club chairman and it was his second consecutive season as president. Overview Fernand Jaccard who had taken over as first team coach during the previous season stayed on as player-manager this season. Basel played a total of 33 matches in their 1937–38 season. 22 of these matches were in the Nationalliga, three in the Swiss Cup and eight were friendly matches.
