Edolisoma
''Edolisoma'' is a genus of birds in the cuckooshrike family Campephagidae that are native to the Central Indo-Pacific region, Australia and New Guinea. These species were previously placed in the genus ''Coracina''. They were moved to the resurrected genus ''Edolisoma'' based on the results of a molecular phylogenetic study published in 2010. The genus contains the following 22 species: * Admiralty cicadabird (''Edolisoma admiralitatis'') * New Caledonian cuckooshrike (''Edolisoma anale'') * Pale cicadabird (''Edolisoma ceramense'') * Blackish cuckooshrike (''Edolisoma coerulescens'') * Kai cicadabird (''Edolisoma dispar'') * Pale-shouldered cicadabird (''Edolisoma dohertyi'') * Solomons cuckooshrike (''Edolisoma holopolium'') * Black-shouldered cicadabird (''Edolisoma incertum'') * Pohnpei cicadabird (''Edolisoma insperatum'') * Black cicadabird (''Edolisoma melas'') * Black-bibbed cicadabird (''Edolisoma mindanense'') * Palau cicadabird (''Edolisoma monacha'') * Black-be ...

Black-bibbed Cicadabird
The black-bibbed cicadabird or black-bibbed cuckooshrike (''Edolisoma mindanense'') is a species of bird in the family Campephagidae. It is endemic to the Philippines. The species is elusive and poorly known. The black-bibbed cicadabird is thought to be restricted to tropical moist lowland forest. It is threatened by habitat loss. Description EBird describes the bird as "A medium-sized bird of lowland and foothill forest. Gray on the crown and back, with black feathers in the edge of the wing and a black tail with white corners. Male has a black forehead, face, and chest, and female has gray underparts. Races differ, with southern birds having paler bellies. Female is similar to female Blackish cuckooshrike, but Black-bibbed has a stouter bill and a paler belly. Voice includes a sharp “wek!” and a downslurred whistle repeated at short intervals." It is often seen either alone or in mixed-species flocks, They are sexually dimorphic in which males have the eponymous bl ...

Common Cicadabird
The common cicadabird (''Edolisoma tenuirostre''), also known as the slender-billed cicadabird, is a species of bird in the family Campephagidae. It is found in Australia, Indonesia, New Guinea, and the Solomon Islands. Its natural habitats are temperate forest and subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest. The species is placed in the reinstated genus ''Edolisoma'' by most authors. The common cicadabird was described as a "great speciator" by Mayr & Diamond (2001); and Pedersen ''et al.'' (2018) described how this species rapidly colonized and diversified across the Indo-Pacific island region and Australia in the Pleistocene. Subspecies Numerous subspecies have been described; the list below is sorted taxonomically: *''E. t. edithae'' Stresseman, 1932 - southern Sulawesi *''E. t. pererratum'' Hartert, E., 1918 - Tukangbesi Islands, Indonesia *''E. t. kalaotuae'' Meise, 1929 - Kalaotoa in the Selayar Islands, Indonesia *''E. t. emancipatum'' Hartert, E., 1918 - Banggai ...
