Edo Murić
Edo Murić (born November 27, 1991) is a Slovenian professional basketball player who last played for Cedevita Olimpija of the Slovenian League and the ABA League. He also represents the Slovenian national team. Standing at 2.02 m (6 ft 8 in), he plays the small forward position. Professional career Murić started playing basketball for Ljubljana-based team Parklji. In the season 2008–09 he was loaned to TCG Mercator for one season. In the 2009–10 season he returned to Parklji where he stayed until the summer of 2010. Krka In 2010, Murić signed a contract with the Slovenian team Krka. With Krka he won the 2010–11 FIBA EuroChallenge winning 83-77 in the final against Lokomotiv Kuban. In 17 games he averaged 4.9 points, 0.6 assists and 3.3 rebounds per game in the 2010–11 FIBA EuroChallenge. 2020–21 Slovenian Basketball League
The 2020–21 Slovenian Basketball League, also known as Liga Nova KBM due to sponsorship reasons, was the 30th season of the Premier A Slovenian Basketball League. Format Regular season In the first phase, ten teams competed in a home-and-away round-robin series (18 games total). Teams advanced from the regular season to one of two postseason stages, depending on their league position. Second phase The top five teams from the regular season advanced to the championship phase. Cedevita Olimpija started their competition from this phase. These teams started the second phase from scratch, with no results carrying over from the regular season. Each team played a total of 10 games in this phase; as in the regular season, a home-and-away round-robin was used. PBC Lokomotiv Kuban (russian: ПБК «Локомотив Кубань») is a Russian professional basketball team based in Krasnodar. The club participates in the VTB United League. The team is one of the top tier basketball teams in Russia. The team's honour list includes a EuroCup championship in the 2012–13 season, and two Russian Cup victories in 1999-00 and 2017–18. Slovenia National Basketball Team
The Slovenia men's national basketball team ( sl, Slovenska košarkarska reprezentanca) represents Slovenia in international basketball competitions, and is managed by the Basketball Federation of Slovenia. EuroBasket 2017
EuroBasket 2017 was the 40th edition of the EuroBasket championship that was organized by FIBA Europe and held between 31 August and 17 September 2017. Beginning from 2017, the continental championships take place every four years with a similar system of qualification as for the FIBA Basketball World Cup. Like the previous edition, the tournament was co-hosted by four countries. Games in the group stage were held in Turkey, Finland, Israel and Romania. The knock-out phase was played in Istanbul, Turkey. Slovenia won their first-ever tournament after defeating Serbia 93–85 in the final. EuroBasket, also commonly referred to as the European Basketball Championship, is the main international basketball competition that is contested quadrennially, by the senior men's national teams that are governed by FIBA Europe, which is the European zone within the International Basketball Federation.
