Edme-Jean Baptiste Bouillon-Lagrange (12 July 1764, Paris – 23 August 1844) was a French chemist and pharmacist. He was a professor of chemistry at the Ecole de pharmacie of Paris, later serving as director of the school. He was owner of a pharmacy on Rue Saint-Martin in Paris. Being influenced by Antoine François Fourcroy and Claude Louis Berthollet, in 1789 he began devoting his time and energies to chemical research. Ambergris ( or , la, ambra grisea, fro, ambre gris), ''ambergrease'', or grey amber is a solid, waxy, flammable substance of a dull grey or blackish colour produced in the digestive system of sperm whales.
