The (English: "Bulgarian Edict"), also referred to as the "Bulgarian Diktat" () or "Bulgarian Ukase" () in Italian newspapers, was a statement of Silvio Berlusconi, at the time Prime Minister of Italy, about the behavior of three figures of Italian media and televisionnamely journalists Enzo Biagi and Michele Santoro and comedian Daniele Luttazziwhich was pronounced during a press conference with Simeon Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, at the time Prime Minister of Bulgaria, on 18 April 2002. Censorship in Italy applies to all media and print media. Many of the laws regulating freedom of the press in the modern Italian Republic come from the liberal reform promulgated by Giovanni Giolitti in 1912, which also established universal suffrage for all male citizens of the Kingdom of Italy.
