Chemnitz (; from 1953 to 1990: Karl-Marx-Stadt (); ; ) is the third-largest city in the Germany, German States of Germany, state of Saxony after Leipzig and Dresden, and the fourth-largest city in the area of former East Germany after (East Berlin, East) Berlin, Leipzig, and Dresden. Women Are Better Diplomats
''Women Are Better Diplomats'' () is a 1941 German musical comedy film from the Nazi era. Directed by Georg Jacoby and starring Marika Rökk, Willy Fritsch and Aribert Wäscher. It was based on a novel by Hans Flemming. The film was the first German feature film to be made in colour, and was one of the most expensive films produced during the Third Reich. The film met with a positive public response and was among the most popular German films of the early war years. Plot A dancer named Marie-Luise Pally is sent on a diplomatic mission to the Frankfurt Parliament in an attempt to stop her uncle's casino in Homburg shutting down. The film is set in the German revolutions of 1848–1849. It was shot at the Wiesbaden Studios in Hesse and location shooting, on location Rüdesheim am Rhein, Rüdesheim and Eltville in the Rhineland. The film's sets were designed by the art director Rudolf Pfenninger. Part of the heimatfilm genre, it takes its name from a popular song. It was distributed by the German branch of the Rank Organisation. Synopsis A widower with three daughters buys a hotel on the banks of the River Rhine. ''A Flea in Her Ear'' () is a play by Georges Feydeau written in 1907, at the height of the Belle Époque. The author called it a vaudeville, but in Anglophone countries, where it is the most popular of Feydeau's plays, it is usually described as a farce.
