Eden Mulholland
Eden Mulholland (born 1979) is a New Zealand composer, musician and dancer. He was a founder of the band Motocade and composes for dance and the World of Wearable Art show. Early life and education Mulholland was born in 1979. He grew up in Christchurch and attended Shirley Boys' High School. He came from a musical household: his father was in a band, his mother played the piano, all of the five children played and sang and he later played in bands with his older brothers Will and Jol. As a child he learnt ballet, studying with Russell Kerr and then completing a performing arts degree at Unitec where he graduated in 1998. Career In his career as a dancer Mulholland worked with choreographers Ann Dewey and Sean Durham, and dance companies Touch Compass and Black Grace. In 2003, when he spent time in London, Mulholland began to compose electronic music and decided to concentrate on music composition. Motocade
Motocade is a New Zealand Rock band formed in Auckland in 2003 by Eden Mulholland (singer/guitarist), Scott Sutherland (bass), Geordie McCallum (guitar/keyboards) and Will Mulholland (drums). In 2007 the music video for the single "My Friends" received high rotation on the New Zealand music channel C4 and Juice TV. In early 2008 the music video for the single "Soap Opera" was in rotation on C4. Motocade's song Octopus was featured in a Home and Away ''Home and Away'' (''H&A'') is an Australian television soap opera. Sarah Foster-Sproull
Sarah Foster-Sproull is a New Zealand choreographer, dancer and senior lecturer in dance studies at the University of Auckland. Early life and education Foster-Sproull was born in Dunedin and attended Otago Girl's High School. She began dancing at age 6 being taught by Robyn Sinclair at the Dunedin School of Ballet. She went on to attend the New Zealand School of Dance and in 2017 gained a Masters in Dance Studies from the University of Auckland. Her masters thesis was entitled ''Embodied economies: Locating the ‘prosumer-dancer’ within dancers’ experiences of choreographic practice''. As at 2021 Foster-Sproull is undertaking a doctorate in the dance studies programme at the University of Auckland. Rodney Bell (born February 6, 1971) is a male dancer born in Te Kūiti, North Island, New Zealand. Rodney is internationally famous for physically integrated dance, which is a contemporary modern dance style that combines people with and without physical disabilities. He is of Maori descent, from the Ngāti Maniapoto tribe. Rodney acquired a disability as a result of a motorcycle accident as a young adult. Specifically, the accident left him paralyzed from below the chest, and he depends upon a wheelchair for mobility. His artistic expression demonstrates elements of traditional Maori culture, yet at the same time he's continually seeking new ways to enhance his creative process.
