Eden Ben Basat
Eden Ben Basat ( he, עדן בן בסט; born 8 September 1986) was an Israeli professional footballer who played for the Israeli Premier League side Hapoel Haifa. At the international level, Ben Basat was capped from the under-17 level onward and is now a member of the Israeli national squad. Early life Ben Basat was born in Kiryat Haim, Israel, to a Jewish family. He is the nephew of the legendary defender Eitan Aharoni, who also played for Maccabi Haifa and Hapoel Haifa. Club career Ben Basat grew up in the red side of Haifa, at Hapoel Haifa, but moved to the youth academy of Maccabi Haifa. In the U-16 team, he averaged more than 20 goals per season. Ben Basat played for every national team in Israel. Ronny Levy promoted him to the first team of Maccabi Haifa, and he made his first appearance on 19 December 2004 against Hapoel Nazareth Illit. In sport, a cap is a player's appearance in a game at international level. The term dates from the practice in the United Kingdom of awarding a cap to every player in an international match of rugby football and association football. In the early days of football, the concept of each team wearing a set of matching shirts had not been universally adopted, so each side would distinguish itself from the other by wearing a specific sort of cap. An early illustration of the first international football match between Scotland and England in 1872 shows the Scottish players wearing cowls, and the English wearing a variety of school caps. The Stade Josy Barthel is the former national stadium of Luxembourg, and the former home of the Luxembourg national football team. The stadium, which also hosted rugby union and athletics events, is located on route d'Arlon, in the Luxembourg City quarter of Belair. Jhon Jairo Culma (born 17 March 1981), sometimes spelled as John Jairo Culma, is a Colombian former footballer who played as a defensive midfielder. Career Born in Florida, Valle del Cauca, Culma was raised in Ortigal, Cauca. He began playing youth football in the local Valle del Cauca league, and would train with the youth sides of América de Cali, Millonarios and Deportivo Cali. At age 17, Culma had a trial with Montpellier, but ultimately moved to Argentina where he signed with Independiente. Culma signed a long-term deal with Cruz Azul in 2001, where he would play primarily for its affiliate club, Cruz Azul Oaxaca. The 2010–11 Israeli Premier League was the twelfth season since its introduction in 1999 and the 69th season of top-tier football in Israel. It began on 21 August 2010 and ended on 21 May 2011. The 2009–10 Israeli Premier League was the 11th season since its introduction in 1999 and the 68th season of top-tier football in Israel. It began on 22 August 2009 and ended on 15 May 2010 with the last matches of the playoff round. The English Schools' Football Association was founded in 1904 and is the governing body of schools' football in England. It is responsible for the running and development of schools competitions and festivals at primary and secondary school age. The ESFA headquarters is in Stafford. Hapoel ( he, הפועל, lit. ''the worker'') is an Israeli Jewish sports association established in 1926 by the Histadrut Labor Federation. History During the British Mandate of Palestine period Hapoel had a bitter rivalry with Maccabi and organized its own competitions, with the exception of football, the only sport in which all the organizations played each other.
