Eddie Pepperell
Edward Louis Pepperell (born 22 January 1991) is an English professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. In February 2018, he won his first European Tour event at the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters. In October 2018, he won his second European Tour event at the Sky Sports British Masters. Amateur career Pepperell had a prominent amateur career, including finishing runner-up in the Boys Amateur Championship in 2009. Professional career Pepperell turned professional in 2011 but failed to earn a place on either the European or Challenge Tours, and he began 2012 playing on the mini-tours. However he received an invitation to the Allianz Open Côtes d'Armor Bretagne in May, the fourth event on the Challenge Tour schedule. 2018 European Tour
The 2018 European Tour was the 47th season of the European Tour, the main professional golf tour in Europe since its inaugural season in 1972. Changes for 2018 There were changes to membership criteria with the reversal of some of the changes introduced for the 2017 season; the number of players gaining exemption from the final Race to Dubai standings reverted to the top 110 and the Access List was scrapped, largely replaced by a re-ranking system. The Race to Dubai points system was adjusted, with all prize money being converted into U.S. dollars before translating into points (1 point = 1 dollar) having previously been calculated after converting into euro. Berkshire Trophy
The Berkshire Trophy is the amateur stroke play golf championship played at The Berkshire Golf Club in England. It has been played annually since 1946. The format is 72 hole stroke play contested over two days. Both the Blue and Red courses are used on the Saturday with the leading 40 scores and ties going through to play two further rounds on the Red course on the Sunday. If two or more players are tied after 72 holes they share the trophy; there is no playoff. Andrew Cotter
Andrew Douglas Millar Cotter (born 20 July 1973) is a Scottish sports broadcaster working primarily for the BBC, covering mainly golf and rugby union, but also tennis, athletics and the Boat Race. Personal life Cotter is from Troon in Ayrshire and has a degree in French and Philosophy from the University of Glasgow. He played golf for Scottish Schools and Scottish Universities. Sean Crocker (born August 31, 1996) is an American professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. Early life and amateur career Crocker was born in Harare, Zimbabwe. His father, Gary, was a test cricketer, who played for Zimbabwe from 1992 to 1993. They moved from Zimbabwe to California when Crocker was five due to political issues. He played collegiate golf for the University of Southern California, after transitioning from baseball to golf at the age of thirteen. The Hero Open was a professional golf tournament played on the European Tour. The event was created as part of the tour's overhaul in response to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. It was originally planned as a revival of the English Open, but after Hero MotoCorp agreed sponsorship of the event in July 2020, the event was effectively separated. Official World Golf Ranking
The Official World Golf Ranking is a system for rating the performance level of professional golfers. It was started in 1986. The rankings are based on a player's position in individual tournaments (i.e. not pairs or team events) over a "rolling" two-year period. New rankings are calculated each week. During 2018, nearly 400 tournaments on 20 tours were covered by the ranking system. All players competing in these tournaments are included in the rankings. In 2025, 24 tours factored into the world rankings. As well as being of general interest, the rankings have an additional importance, in that they are used as one of the qualifying criteria for entry into a number of leading tournaments. Walton Heath Golf Club is a golf club in England, near Walton-on-the-Hill in Surrey, southwest of London. Founded in 1903, the club comprises two 18-hole golf courses, both of which are well known for having heather covering many of the areas of rough. The Genesis Scottish Open is a professional golf tournament in Scotland, and is one of five tournaments that are part of the Rolex Series, which identifies it as one of the European Tour's premier events. It has been played on various courses, but in recent years it has been played on a links course, appealing to players who wish to gain experience before The Open, which takes place in the following week. Oliver Fisher
Oliver James Fisher (born 13 September 1988) is an English professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. He also played in the inaugural LIV Golf Invitational Series. Early years and amateur career Fisher was born in Chingford, London. He was a winner of the Faldo Series, Nick Faldo's development programme for young golfers, in 2003, 2004 and 2005, and as such was regarded as one of the best prospects of his generation.
