Eddie Aibara
Edulji Bujorji "Eddie" Aibara (25 April 1914 – 7 November 2000) was an Indian first-class cricketer who played for Hyderabad cricket team, Hyderabad in the Ranji Trophy. Although most of his first-class games were for Hyderabad (51), Aibara represented several additional sides, the other twenty being divided mostly between the Parsees cricket team and South Zone cricket team, South Zone. Aibara was a right-handed middle order batsman and often captained Hyderabad. He played a part in both of Hyderabad's two Ranji Trophy wins despite them being 50 years apart, as a player in 1937–38 Ranji Trophy, 1937–38 where he scored the match winning hundred and as coach in 1986–87 Ranji Trophy, 1986–87. His effort in the 1937–38 Final against Nawanagar is what he is best remembered for, his innings of 137 not out came in a game where the next highest score by a player from either team was 67 and it was his maiden first-class hundred. Secunderabad
Secunderabad () is a twin cities, twin city of Hyderabad and one of the six zones of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) in the States and union territories of India, Indian state of Telangana. The South Zone cricket team is a first-class cricket team that represents southern India in the Duleep Trophy and Deodhar Trophy. It is a composite team of players from seven first-class Indian teams from southern India competing in the Ranji Trophy: Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Hyderabad, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry. 1937–38 Ranji Trophy
The 1937–38 Ranji Trophy was the fourth edition of the Ranji Trophy, an annual first-class cricket tournament in India. Matches were played from 17 October 1937 to 24 February 1938 with a total of 18 teams participating. The sides were divided into four zonal groups, but the tournament utilised a knockout format. Hyderabad defeated the defending champions Nawanagar in the final. The Parsis (''aka'' Parsees) cricket team was an Indian first-class cricket team which took part in the annual Bombay tournament. The team was founded by members of the Zoroastrian community in Bombay. It is affiliated to Mumbai Cricket Association. Many players of Parsis cricket team played for Mumbai cricket team as well as India national cricket team. Bombay Quadrangular The Parsis competed in the Bombay tournament from its outset in 1877, when they challenged the Europeans cricket team at the Bombay Gymkhana to a two-day match.
