Ecologist Green Party Of Nicaragua
The Ecologist Green Party of Nicaragua (in Spanish: ''Partido Verde Ecologista de Nicaragua'', PVEN) is a political party in Nicaragua. It was founded in Managua on November 23, 2003. The president of the organisation is Edward Martín Salazar Cruz. Since 2003, the PVEN is a full member of the Federation of the Green Parties of the Americas (Federación de los Partidos Verdes de las Américas). On May 9, 2006, the PVEN signed an alliance with the Sandinista Renovation Movement and became part of the ''Alianza Herty 2006'', running in the MRS ticket in the 2006 Nicaraguan general election General elections were held in Nicaragua on 5 November 2006. The Global Greens (GG) is an international network of political parties and movements which work to implement the Global Greens Charter. It consists of various national green political parties, partner networks, and other organizations associated with green politics. Formed in 2001 at the First Global Greens Congress, the network has grown to include 76 full member parties and 11 observers and associate parties as of May 2022, so a total of 87 members. It is governed by a 12-member steering committee called the Global Greens Coordination (GGC), consisting of nominated representatives from each of the four regional federations. Each member party falls under the umbrella of one of these four affiliated regional green federations– Africa, Asia-Pacific, the Americas, and Europe. Sandinista Renovation Movement
UNAMOS, the Democratic Renewal Union (), formerly the Sandinista Renovation Movement (), is a Nicaraguan political party founded in 1995. It defines itself as a democratic and progressive party, made of people of all genders, that promotes the construction of a Nicaragua with opportunities, progress, solidarity, democracy, and sovereignty. General elections were held in Nicaragua on 5 November 2006. The country's voters went to the polls to elect a new President of the Republic and 90 members of the National Assembly.
