Christian Eckes
Christian D. Eckes (pronounced "eck-iss"; born November 10, 2000) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He competes full-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, driving the No. 19 Chevrolet Silverado for McAnally-Hilgemann Racing. Eckes is the 2019 ARCA Menards Series champion, won the Snowball Derby in 2016, and was formerly a development driver for JR Motorsports and later Toyota Racing Development, Toyota. Racing career Eckes grew up in Greenville, Orange County, New York, Greenville, New York. He began racing legends car racing, Legends Cars at thirteen years old. He later moved up to racing late model stock cars and super late models. In 2015, Eckes began racing late models for JR Motorsports, as well as super late models for LFR Chassis as one of their driver development program drivers. Nazan Khol ( Üngör; born 9 May 1976), better known as Nazan Eckes, is a German television presenter. Career Eckes, daughter of Turkish immigrants from Eskişehir, completed her ''Abitur'' high school diploma in 1995 in Leverkusen, where her father was employed as a worker in a chemical and pharmaceutical company. Her internship at the music television channel VIVA was followed by a formal journalistic apprenticeship (''Volontariat'') lasting 18 months at the same channel. In 1998, Eckes joined VIVA as a regular TV journalist. Between 1998 and 1999, she also worked as freelance reporter for the Turkish language regional newspaper ''Haftalık Posta''.
