Echo Lake (Saskatchewan)
Echo Lake is a lake along the course of the Qu'Appelle River in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. Echo Lake is so named because of the echo heard by the First Nations while paddling on the lake. It is one of four lakes that make up the Fishing Lakes. Pasqua Lake is upstream and Mission Lake is downstream. The lake can be accessed by Highway 56 and Highway 210. Echo Lake, as well as the other three Fishing Lakes, are all in the deep-cut Qu'Appelle Valley, which was formed about 14,000 years ago during the last ice age. Meltwater from the glaciers carved out the valley and as water levels rose and fell, alluvium was left in the wake. These piles of alluvium are what created the separations between the lakes. Communities Echo Lake is located in the RM of North Qu'Appelle No. 187. The town of Fort Qu'Appelle is the largest community, not just on Echo Lake, but all of the Fishing Lakes. It featured an immersive 3D environment where a user could go to a virtual desktop in a virtual office and assemble video and audio clips along with images, and then print them out as either a virtual book other users of the program could use, or for print. Echo Lake is an English indie pop band formed in London in 2010. Their debut EP ''Young Silence'' was released through No Pain In Pop in 2011 and their debut album ''Wild Peace'' was released in June 2012 through Slumberland Records and No Pain In Pop. Their second album, ''Era'', was released in March 2015. The band is centred on the songwriting partnership of singer Linda Jarvis and producer-guitarist Thom Hill. Critics have identified dream pop and shoegazing elements in their sound. Ex-choirgirl Jarvis' voice and Hill's unique production style have both received acclaim. The current band line-up consists of Linda Jarvis on vocals and keyboards, Thom Hill on guitar, Will Young on bass guitar and Dayo James on drums. Original drummer Peter Hayes died in June 2012. Echo Lake is a water body located in Franconia Notch in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, at the foot of Cannon Mountain.
