Echaskech
Echaskech are a British electronica / audio-visual act based in London. The band formed in 2004 and were originally a duo composed of Dom Hoare and Andy Gillham, who had previously worked together as a drum & bass DJ act touring with artists such as LTJ Bukem and Grooverider. Early in 2005 the music duo became a multimedia trio with the addition of visual artist Mach V, who provides visuals during live performances and whose prior work includes music festivals such as The Big Chill (music festival), The Big Chill and a collaboration with Sounds from the Ground that exhibited at Tate Britain. Also in 2005 Echaskech performed along with Jon Hopkins at various events in London and as a result Jon introduced the band to Just Music who subsequently signed them. Max Cooper (born 19 May 1980) is a London-based electronic dance music, electronic and techno music producer who has been releasing music since 2007. He has received positive reviews from magazines such as ''Clash (magazine), Clash'' and critical acclaim for his debut album ''Human''. Cooper has released more than seventy original tracks and remixes, and more than twenty accompanying video works, primarily on London label Fields and German label Traum Schallplatten. James Yuill (born 1981) is an English folktronica musician from London, currently signed to the Moshi Moshi record label. Biography Yuill released his first album, ''The Vanilla Disc'', on his own Happy Biscuit Club label in 2005. After releasing his second album, entitled ''Turning Down Water for Air'', in February 2007, he was later signed by Moshi Moshi. Moshi Moshi re-issued the album in January 2009. Sir Charles Antony Richard Hoare (; born 11 January 1934), also known as C. A. R. Hoare, is a British computer scientist who has made foundational contributions to programming languages, algorithms, operating systems, formal verification, and concurrent computing. His work earned him the Turing Award, usually regarded as the highest distinction in computer science, in 1980. Hoare developed the sorting algorithm quicksort in 1959–1960.
