David Eby
David Robert Patrick Eby (; born July 21, 1976) is a Canadian politician and lawyer who has served as the 37th and current premier of British Columbia since November 18, 2022. Eby is a member of the British Columbia New Democratic Party (NDP) and has served as party leader since October 21, 2022. He has represented Vancouver-Point Grey in the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia since 2013. Eby began his legal career with a focus on civil rights and social justice issues, working at the Pivot Legal Society from 2005 to 2008. He then became the executive director of the British Columbia Civil Liberties Association (BCCLA), serving from 2008 to 2012. Kitchener is a city in the Canadian province of Ontario, about west of Toronto. Kerr Eby (19 October 1889 – 18 November 1946) was a Canadian illustrator best known for his renderings of soldiers in combat in the First and Second World Wars. He is held in a similar regard to Harvey Dunn and the other famous illustrators dispatched by the government to cover the First World War. Early life and education Born in Tokyo, Japan to Canadian Methodist missionary parents in 1889, Eby received formal art training at Pratt Institute and the Art Students League of New York. Career Enlisting in the Army in 1917, Eby served in an ambulance crew and later as a camoufleur. Although unable to acquire an artist's commission to cover the war, he created many memorable and haunting images of soldiers both in combat and living their daily lives on the front. Betsy Eby
Betsy Eby (born April 3, 1967) is an American artist and musician. She lives and works in Columbus, Georgia, and Wheaton Island, Maine. Life Eby was born on April 3, 1967, in Seaside, Oregon. In 1972, her family moved to the suburbs of Portland, Oregon. Her father worked in the timber industry, while her mother worked in community college admissions. At the age of five, Eby began playing the piano and studying the traditional classical repertoire. She continues to study under master musicians. Eby earned her bachelor's degree in art history from the University of Oregon, with an emphasis on ancient Greek, Roman and Asian antiquities. Benjamin Eby
Bishop Benjamin Eby (2May 178528June 1853) was a Canadian minister, schoolteacher, farmer, author, and community leader. He was a pioneer of the Mennonite community in Canada and a strong proponent of nonresistance. Biography Benjamin Eby was born in 1785 at a homestead on Hammer Creek, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He emigrated to Upper Canada in 1806 and purchased a large tract of land in what would later become Kitchener, Ontario. He became a Mennonite preacher in 1809, and by 1811 or 1813 had built a log Mennonite meeting house used as a school house and for religious services. He was Bishop from 1812 and was responsible for the growth of Mennonite Church Canada in Waterloo County. Earl Eby
Earl William Eby (November 18, 1894 – December 14, 1970) was an American sprinter who won a silver medal in the 800 m at the 1920 Summer Olympics. Earlier at the Athletics at the Inter-Allied Games, 1919 Inter-Allied Games he won the 400 m event and placed second in the 800 m to New Zealand's Daniel Mason (athlete), Daniel Mason. He won the 800 m event at the 1920 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Eby Shoe Corporation, also known as Fleet-Air Corporation, is a historic factory building complex located at Ephrata, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The property includes three contributing buildings to the listing. Building "A" was built about 1900, and is a four-story, gable roofed brick building with a two-story flat roofed addition.
