Ebenezer Okletey Terlabi
Ebenezer Okletey Terlabi (born 3 September 1963) is a Ghanaian politician and a former deputy Eastern Regional Minister of Ghana. He was appointed by President John Atta Mills and served till January 2013. He is currently the deputy Minister of Defence of Ghana. Personal Terlabi is a Christian (Church of Pentecost). He is married with three children. Early life and education Terlabi was born on 3 September 1963. He hails from Odumase-Krobo, a town in the Eastern Region of Ghana. He studied at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, where he obtained his Master of Philosophy degree in biochemistry in 2000. Politics Terlabi is a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). In 2012, he contested for the Lower Manya Krobo seat on the ticket of the NDC sixth parliament of the fourth republic and won. 2016 Ghanaian General Election
General elections were held in Ghana on 7 December 2016 to elect a President and Members of Parliament. They had originally been scheduled for 7 November 2016, but the date was later rejected by Parliament. Former foreign minister Nana Akufo-Addo of the opposition New Patriotic Party was elected President on his third attempt, defeating incumbent President John Mahama of the National Democratic Congress. The election results were announced on 9 December 2016 due to a delay of voting in two areas. At 19:51 local time, Mahama called Akufo-Addo to concede defeat. At 20:45, the Electoral Commission declared that Akufo-Addo had defeated Mahama in a single round. It was the first time in Ghana's history that a sitting president had been defeated for reelection. 2020 Ghanaian General Election
General elections were held in Ghana on 7 December 2020. Incumbent President Nana Akufo-Addo of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) was re-elected in the first round after securing a majority of the votes. Former President John Dramani Mahama says he will contest the results. Convention People's Party
The Convention People's Party (CPP) is a socialist political party in Ghana based on the ideas of the first President of Ghana, Kwame Nkrumah. The CPP was formed in June 1949 after Nkrumah broke away from the United Gold Coast Convention (UGCC). Nkrumah was the then appointed Secretaty General of the UGCC when he was arrested by the leader of the UGCC and imprisoned for an alleged thought, plans and power against Kwame Nkrumah's leadership. Kwame Nkrumah then formed the Convention People's Party with support of some UGCC members and had a purpose for self governance. Michael Nyuanu Teye (June 13, 1955) was a member of the Second, Third and Fourth parliament of the Fourth Republic for the Lower Manya constituency in the Eastern Region of Ghana. John Dramani Mahama (; born 29 November 1958) is a Ghanaian politician who served as President of Ghana from 24 July 2012 to 7 January 2017. Krobo Odumase is a town and capital of Lower Manya Krobo Municipal District in the Eastern Region of Ghana. The Presbyterian Boys' Senior High School was formerly located here.
