Eastern Valley Conference (Wisconsin)
The Eastern Valley Conference is a former high school athletic conference with its membership base in the Fox Valley region of Wisconsin. Founded in 2007 and dissolved in 2015, the conference and its members belonged to the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association. History The Eastern Valley Conference, originally known as the Valley 10 Conference, was founded in 2007 from the ashes of the former Valley 8 Conference. Six members from the Valley 8 ( Clintonville, Fox Valley Lutheran, Freedom, Little Chute, Waupaca and Xavier) joined with four schools from the shuttered East Central Flyway Conference (Berlin, Omro, Ripon and Winneconne) to form its initial grouping. Aside from Omro leaving the conference in 2010 for membership in the Wisconsin Flyway Conference, the conference's roster stayed intact for its entire eight-year life span. Wisconsin Flyway Conference
The Wisconsin Flyway Conference is a high school athletic conference with its membership concentrated in east central Wisconsin. It was founded in 2006 and all members belong to the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association. History The Wisconsin Flyway Conference was formed in 2006, the result of a split of six schools from the East Central Flyway Conference ( Horicon, Laconia, Lomira, Mayville, North Fond du Lac and St. Mary's Springs). These schools were previously in the conference's Rivers Division and were members of the original Flyway Conference before its merger with the East Central Conference. Kettle Moraine Lutheran in Jackson was the seventh original member of the Wisconsin Flyway Conference, having been displaced by the closing of the Parkland Conference the year prior. Little Chute, Wisconsin
Little Chute is a village in Outagamie County, Wisconsin, Outagamie County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 11,619 at the 2020 United States census, 2020 census. It is immediately east of the city of Appleton, Wisconsin and runs along the Fox River (Illinois River tributary), Fox River. It is a part of the Appleton, Wisconsin Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town was originally established as a trading post by French explorers who called it "Le Petite Chute" (Little Chute). Freedom is a town in Outagamie County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 6,200 at the 2020 census. The unincorporated communities of Freedom and Murphy Corner are located in the town and the unincorporated community of Five Corners is located partially within the town. History The first non-native settler in the Town of Freedom was James Andrew Jackson, a freedman who arrived in 1830. Jackson was asked by town residents if they could name the town "Jackson" after him, but he wanted the town to be named Freedom because this was where he obtained his freedom. The South Central Conference is a high school athletic conference in Wisconsin. Originally founded in 1926, it disbanded in 1941 only to reconstitute eleven years later. All member schools of the South Central Conference are affiliated with the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association. History 1926–1941 The South Central Conference was formed in 1926 by seven medium-sized high schools in south central Wisconsin: Baraboo, Portage, Reedsburg, Richland Center, Sparta, Tomah and Viroqua. Logan High School in La Crosse joined two years later, and Wisconsin Dells joined in 1939. Two years later, the conference disbanded and most of its members went on to form two new conferences. Berlin (/ˈbɜːrlɪn/ BUR-lin) is a city in Green Lake and Waushara counties in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 5,571 at the 2020 census. Of this, 5,435 were in Green Lake County, and only 89 were in Waushara County.
