Eastern Suburbs (Mumbai)
East Mumbai consists the localities of Kurla, Vidyavihar Ghatkopar, Kanjurmarg, Bhandup, Mulund, Nahur, Powai, Chandivali and Vikhroli. To the south-east lie the neighborhoods of Chembur, Govandi, Mankhurd, and Trombay. Division The city of Mumbai lies on Salsette Island. The long thinner protruding landmass just across the Mithi river is the oldest part of the city. This region is called South Mumbai/South Bombay(SoBo) or Town side. The area just north of Mithi river is called Western Suburbs of Mumbai and the area that lies to the east of the airport is called Eastern Suburbs of Mumbai. The Eastern Suburbs is the eastern metropolitan Regions of Sydney, region of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Location Informally, references to "eastern suburbs" are often limited only to the area east of the Sydney Central Business District, one of the earliest areas developed beyond the town centre. Eastern Suburbs Railway Line
The Eastern Suburbs Railway (ESR) is a commuter railway line in Sydney constructed in the 1970s. It is operated by Sydney Trains and has stations at Martin Place, Kings Cross, Edgecliff and Bondi Junction. In addition, it has dedicated platforms at Town Hall, Central and Redfern stations. All of these stations are underground. The Eastern Suburbs railway connects with the Illawarra line at Erskineville, forming the Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line. The line features turnbacks at Central, Martin Place and Bondi Junction. There was also previously a rarely used cross-over at Edgecliff. It operates a service every 3 to 5 minutes during weekday peak hours and 8 to 10 minutes at all other times. Eastern Suburbs Association Football Club is an association football club based in the suburb of Kohimarama in Auckland, New Zealand. The club competes in the Northern League. Maccabi Hakoah Sydney City East FC, commonly known as Maccabi Hakoah, is an Australian semi-professional soccer club based in Sydney, New South Wales. The club was formed in 1939 as Sydney Hakoah by members of Sydney's Jewish community. They played between 1977 and 1986 in the National Soccer League as Eastern Suburbs (1977–1979) and Sydney City (1979–1987). Eastern Suburbs District Rugby League Football Club, known as the Sydney Roosters are an Australian professional rugby league football club based in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs (Sydney), Eastern Suburbs. The club competes in the National Rugby League (NRL) competition. The Brisbane Tigers are a rugby league club based at Langlands Park, in the suburb of Coorparoo in Brisbane, Australia.
