Eastern Administrative Okrug
Eastern Administrative Okrug (), or Vostochny Administrative Okrug, is one of the administrative divisions of Moscow, twelve high-level territorial divisions (administrative okrugs) of the federal cities of Russia, federal city of Moscow, Russia.Law #13-47 As of the Russian Census (2010), 2010 Census, its population was 1,452,759, up from 1,394,497 recorded during the Russian Census (2002), 2002 Census. Administrative Okrugs Of Moscow
The federal cities of Russia, federal city of Moscow, Russia is divided into administrative districts called ''administrative okrugs'', which are a subdivision of state administration. They are further divided into Municipalities of Russia, municipal formations called districts (''raions'') and settlements (''poseleniy''), which are local self-government entities. Golyanovo District () is a district of Eastern Administrative Okrug of the federal city of Moscow, Russia. Population: It is one of the largest districts in Moscow, both in terms of the geographic area and population size. Located 9-15 km to the east of the Kremlin, this large territory is bounded by MKAD (Moscow Automobile Ring Road), Shchyolkovskoye Shosse, and the national park "Losiny Ostrov". Sokolniki District
Sokolniki District () is a district of the Eastern Administrative Okrug of the federal city of Moscow located in the north-east corner of the city. Population: Etymology Sokolniki derives its name from the word "" (''sokol'', meaning "falcon") in view of the Tsar's falcon hunting grounds which were located there, primarily on the territory of the present-day Sokolniki Park. The district also provides the name for one of its metro stations: Sokolniki Metro Station. Sports The district is home to the FC and HC Spartak Moscow. Metrogorodok District () is the northernmost administrative district (55° 50' 19.26" 37° 44' 55.32"E) (raion) of Eastern Administrative Okrug, and one of the 125 raions of Moscow, Russia. The district has a size of . 90% of the Metrogorodok's area is occupied by the Losiny Ostrov National Park. Izmaylovo District () is a administrative divisions of Moscow, district in the Eastern Administrative Okrug of the federal cities of Russia, federal city of Moscow, Russia. Population: History The history of the village of Izmaylovo goes back to 1389. Since the days of Ivan the Terrible it was an estate of boyars in the Romanov family. In 1654, it was inherited by Alexis of Russia, who built a château on an artificial island around 1664—1690. At about the same time, in 1671—1679, a medieval church was rebuilt into ''Church of Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos''. The château was later expanded by architects Konstantin Thon and Mikhail Bykovsky into Izmaylovo Estate.
