Earnock Estate is a residential area in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire, Scotland, which is located east of High Earnock and south of Hillhouse, Hamilton, Scotland, Hillhouse. The area was developed in the 1960s and is home to some of the oldest buildings in the area. Amenities Almost all amenities with Earnock Estate are located on Wellhall Road, the main road running through the estate that links all parts of the neighbourhood. Hamilton Bus Station is a bus station that serves Hamilton, a large town in South Lanarkshire, Scotland. Overview Managed by the Strathclyde Partnership for Transport, Hamilton Bus Station is ideally situated. It is next to the two Hamilton shopping malls, New Cross and Regent (both of which are located in the heart of Hamilton Town Centre), and is located within a densely populated area (around 350,000 live within of the station). The travel centre is also located across from the entrance to the station. Elections to South Lanarkshire Council took place on 4 May 2017 on the same day as the 31 other 2017 Scottish local elections, Scottish local government elections. Iona
Iona (; , sometimes simply ''Ì'') is an island in the Inner Hebrides, off the Ross of Mull on the western coast of Scotland. It is mainly known for Iona Abbey, though there are other buildings on the island. Iona Abbey was a centre of Gaelic monasticism for three centuries and is today known for its relative tranquility and natural environment. It is a tourist destination and a place for spiritual retreats. Its modern Scottish Gaelic name means "Iona of (Saint) Columba" (formerly anglicised as "Icolmkill"). In 2019, Iona's estimated population was 120.
