"Early Christmas Morning" is a song by American recording artist Cyndi Lauper, from her sixth studio album and first Christmas album, '' Merry Christmas...Have a Nice Life'' (1998). Written by Lauper along with Jan Pulsford in 1996. It was only officially released in Japan. There are two versions of the song. The second version includes a children's choir instead of the Japanese vocals used in the first version. Cynthia Ann Stephanie Lauper Thornton (born June 22, 1953) is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and activist. Her career has spanned over 40 years. Mark Saunders (born 1959) is a British record producer and audio engineer who has worked on a number of albums since the 1980s, with artists including the Cure, David Byrne, Erasure, and Tricky. Career Saunders's professional music career started as a drummer playing with Carlene Carter, Johnny Cash's stepdaughter, in 1982.
