Eagle Rock is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Barry County, Missouri, United States. As of the 2020 census, it had a population of 193. It is located on Missouri Route 86 near Table Rock Lake. Eagle Rock has a state campground and public marina. A post office called Eagle Rock has been in operation since 1886. The community takes its name from a nearby rock formation. The Eagle Rock Retreat Center, home of the Assembly of God youth organizations Royal Rangers National Training Center, is located approximately 4 miles southwest of Eagle Rock. Cassville R-IV School District
Cassville R-IV School District is a school district headquartered in Cassville, Missouri. It includes the communities of Cassville, Arrow Point, Butterfield, Eagle Rock, Emerald Beach, and Golden. An island in the Shell Knob census-designated place also falls in the district boundaries. History In 2001 the district stopped allowing the use of corporal punishment. Merlyn Johnson became superintendent in 2021. In 2022 the district had 1,900 students. That year the district began using corporal punishment again in cases where parents approve of the option. The district did this because several area parents wanted that option. Table Rock Lake
Table Rock Lake is an artificial lake or reservoir in the Ozarks of southwestern Missouri and northwestern Arkansas in the United States. Designed, built and operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the lake is impounded by Table Rock Dam, which was constructed from 1954 to 1958 on the White River creating the lake. The lake is a popular attraction for the city of Branson, Missouri, and the nearby town of Shell Knob, Missouri. There are several commercial marinas along the lake, and Table Rock State Park is located on the east side, both north and south of Table Rock Dam. Downstream from the dam, the Missouri Department of Conservation operates a fish hatchery, which is used to stock trout in Lake Taneycomo, which begins immediately downstream from the Table Rock Dam. Route 86 is a highway in southwest Missouri. The eastern terminus is at U.S. Route 65 just north of Ridgedale. The Geographic Names Information System (GNIS) is a database of name and location information about more than two million physical and cultural features, encompassing the United States and its territories; the Compact of Free Association, associated states of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, and Palau; and Antarctica.
