Ardit Gjebrea (born 7 June 1963) is an Albanian television presenter, singer-songwriter and producer. Life and career Gjebrea began singing at the age of five in Albanian children festivals, he was awarded prizes at local competitions for interpreting songs by Avni Mula such as "I ëmbël zëri i gjyshës" and "Kur kendoj per ty moj nënë" in the 1970s. His first composition "Hena" was interpreted by and the text was written by Radio Television Albania editor during the Spring Festival of 1987, although no surviving copy of the recording is publicly available according to researcher Nicolas Tochka. On 17 December 2001, he made a breakthrough in his career, winning the Festivali i Këngës në RTSH prize with the song "Ika Larg". In 2005 , he won the same prize with his song "Trendeline dhe kenge". Tirana
Tirana ( , ; ) is the capital and List of cities and towns in Albania, largest city of Albania. Christianity in Albania began when Christians arrived in Illyria soon after the time of Jesus, with a bishop being appointed in Dyrrhachium ( Epidamnus) in 58 AD. When the Roman Empire was divided in 395 AD, modern Albania became part of the Byzantine Empire, but was under the jurisdiction of the Pope until 732, when Emperor Leo III placed the church under the Patriarch of Constantinople. Broadcast every year since its inauguration in 1962, the festival has determined the country's representative to the Eurovision Song Contest since 2004. Various singing presentations have been used throughout its history, beginning with radio-only performances in the first few years, then expanding to live performances, playback, remakes, and duets featuring other singers. The winners have traditionally been selected by a jury. However, other voting methods have also been applied, such as televoting or regional juries. Radiotelevision 21 (), abbreviated as RTV21, is a broadcaster and media company based in Pristina, Kosovo, which includes a radio (est. May 11, 1998), a television station (est.
